Installing a Yealink WH64 Headset via USB
Connect your WH64 to a compatible Yealink phone
Follow this simple guide to install your Yealink WH64 Mono or Dual headset using your desk phone’s USB-A port. The illustrated example shows a standard WH64 base and a Yealink T54W phone.
Important: before the first charge
Slide the headset’s power switch down from the OFF position to the Bluetooth position before placing the headset on its charging base.
1. Power the base and charge the headset
Connect the supplied WH64 power adapter to the base and a wall outlet. Slide the headset’s power switch down from OFF to the Bluetooth position, then place the headset on its charging base.
2. Connect the USB cable
Connect the USB-A end of the supplied data cable to the USB-A port behind the phone’s screen, or on the side depending on your phone model. Connect the other end to the WH64 base’s USB port marked Phone or with a phone icon.
- Standard WH64 base: use the phone-labelled Micro-USB port.
- WH64 Workstation: use the phone-labelled USB-C port.
3. Put on the headset and test
Remove the headset from its charging base and lower the microphone. Press the Headset key on the Yealink phone, then dial a test call.
Have someone call your extension. Press the headset’s call-control button once to answer and once to end the call.

Check compatibility: your Yealink phone must support USB headsets. A USB-A port alone does not guarantee compatibility. This installation method does not apply to the WH64 Hybrid dongle version or older T46G and T48G phones. Contact us if you are unsure which connection your phone requires.
